The Almeida Family - Family Photo Session at Fountain Park in Wilbraham, Massachusetts

Chris and Jennifer booked me for a family photo session at Fountain Park in Wilbraham, Massachusetts this spring to capture their new family. Since becoming a family of four they have been so busy that they haven’t had a chance to have photos taken. I was so excited that they reached out to me for their first official photos!

Before they booked this session with me I had only driven by Fountain park and never stopped to explore the space. It was a really fun location for photos with a ton of variety. There are some really neat structures to explore and a big red barn that can be reserved for weddings and private functions.

We had so much fun running around the fields and picking daffodils. Summer and Lincoln are the cutest little kiddos ever and I could have spent the whole day exploring with them!

Chris and Jennifer, thanks so much for choosing me to capture your fun family! I can’t wait for the next session!

Let me capture the fun!

Savannah - Spring photos at Small Ones Farm in Amherst, Massachusetts

I photographed Savannah 4 years ago when she was only a few weeks old and every year since then I’ve been fortunate to photograph her at a session!

She was so eager to explore the apple orchard at Small Ones Farm during my Spring Mini sessions and I was happy to follow her with my camera.

I loved seeing how much she’s grown since our last session and I can’t wait to see what new things she’ll be up to next year! Here she is with her sweet mom Erika, who joined her for a few photos at the session.

Style Guide for Spring Minis

When people ask me what to wear to a photo session I always say, "be comfortable and be yourself!" That advice still stands, but if you're looking for a few ideas on how to coordinate your family's look in this particular setting, I've included a couple ideas here for you.

The mini sessions will be held at a private residence that features a BIG red barn! The barn actually used to be used for dairy cows. It's huge! Now it's owned by an artist and family friend of mine who is generously offering his space for the session.

There will be a few handmade props made locally by a friend of mine who has done a ton of styling and photography work with me in the past. She's busy making paper flower garlands and knitted flags to hang from the barn and peach trees. Be sure to check out her instagram to see her work, she's an extraordinary crafter!

So if you're wanting to coordinate, choose a color palette and dress your crew around it. This will allow family members to express who they are within a color theme that works together.

Here are a few outfit boards that I put together for inspiration!

These are meant to inspire you if you're looking to coordinate but it is most definitely not required, so don't stress about it! I'm going to capture your happy family, so wear whatever you'd like!

If you haven't signed up yet but would like to come out for some photos, there are only a few spots left. Contact me here to check for availability.

Happy Spring!
