Eloise - In home Newborn Session

Victoria and Abe were gifted an in-home newborn session at their baby shower over the summer. I was so excited to meet little Eloise when she arrived.

We spent the morning in their nursery and bedroom. Their home was such a beautiful space to work in and it really had perfect light. Eloise was happy in her mom and dad’s arms through the whole session.

It was such a pleasure to meet Eloise and to capture the earliest days of this happy family’s story. Thank you Abe and Victoria, for sharing your home and for letting me capture such a special time!

Penelope Jane - Western Massachusetts Newborn Lifestyle Session

Little Penelope Jane was born on August 30, 2019 to her loving parents Thom and Cassandra. Last week they had me over to their home to photograph their new family of four.

It’s funny how easy it is to forget how tiny new babies are. When Cassie came down the stairs holding Penelope I couldn’t believe how little she was!

I also couldn’t believe how well tempered she was. In between feedings Penelope was so relaxed and content with just laying on her back and daydreaming. Thom and Cassie are both deep thinkers and I couldn’t help but see those qualities unfolding in Penelope as I photographed her. She has some really intense deep thought expressions for an infant. It’s pretty cute.

Thom and Cassie hired me to photograph their wedding last year so it was great to catch up with them and be able to capture this next phase of their lives together. They’re a solid team and little Penelope and Orion are so lucky to have them as parents! Congrats to all of you!

Newborn Lifestyle Sessions

Relax in your home with your little baby and let me document the snuggles.

NEW! Products for your newborn session!

If you are anything like me, you will likely end up with a phone full of photos of your new baby just moments after he/she enters this world. Be prepared for that sweet little face to dominate every device you and your immediate family owns for the next 18 years. The biggest challenge is then printing the best moments and figuring out how to store or display them.

If you decide to book a Newborn Lifestyle Session with me, you will have many options for how to keep your images stored after the session. In addition to prints, I am now so happy to offer a few keepsakes to display and remember your little one so the images aren’t forgotten.

You may also add a custom-made maple USB/box combo. Inside the box is a custom 8GB USB stick loaded with all of the high resolution photos from the session. Your image is printed directly onto the wood surfaces of the USB drive and the memory stick, so the natural grain of the wood will peak through your image.

This is a great way to keep all of the photos from the session safe. The box is sturdy and can be kept on a shelf in a nursery as well.

These items can be added on to any session at the time of booking or after the photos are delivered.

Newborn Lifestyle Session in Ludlow, MA - Charlie

massachusetts family photographer-14.jpg

Last month I had the privilege of photographing this little peanut for a newborn session at home with his parents, Christina and Travis. Christina was given a gift certificate for this session at her shower over the winter and I’ve been so excited to meet all of them!

Charlie’s name was inspired by a trip that Christina and Travis had taken to Boston after staying at the historic Omni Hotel, which is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of Charles Dickens. It also happens to be a common name on Travis’ side of the family.

Travis is Native American and he and Christina wanted to include some elements of that history into this session. We played with many of the dream catchers they had decorating the walls of their home. Turns out they make great mobiles!

Charlie was the squishiest, most snuggly baby and oddly had a lot of personality for being so new to the world. He’d already earned many nicknames from his parents including, my favorite, “Charlie-bones”. Apparently he really enjoyed the newest Bone Thugs documentary on Netflix.

Thank you so much for sharing these moments with me. I loved spending the day with all of you!

A day in the life with Violet - Newborn Lifestyle Session

Every time a couple books a newborn session with me I add their due date to the calendar and check in a few weeks before that day comes. In this case, I was totally surprised when I received a text from Violet’s uncle saying that she had been born almost 3 weeks earlier than expected.

I spent the afternoon with Joe, Ashley, and Violet last month. At the end of her pregnancy, Ashley had slipped on ice and broken her arm, so not only did she have a newborn that needed constant attention, she also only had one arm to manage it all. Watching her haul Violet around the house, feed her bottles, change her, and find comfy spots on the couch to rest was very impressive.

Joe had his arms full too with this little one, pulling the latest of the late nights with her on the couch while Ashley caught up on some much needed sleep.

Congratulations Ashley and Joe and thank you for sharing this super special day with me! Little Violet was so sweet to work with.
