An Engagement Session at Home with Julia and Evan

After a couple decides to move forward with me as their wedding photographer, we usually connect to discuss locations for their engagement session. Julia and Evan had just purchased a new home in the last few years and were really proud of the work they had put into it so we decided to have the session there.

I really enjoyed this session. It is so nice to shoot in new spaces and be challenged in new ways and abandon the more comfortable shots I rely on. I was reminded of the value and the challenge of slowing down when Iā€™m photographing a couple. It is so hard to slow down.

In December, Julia and Evan will be getting married at The Boylston Rooms in Easthampton, Massachusetts. It was such a joy to spend this time with them and I am so excited to work with them again.
