Lyndsey and Chris’ Backyard Wedding in Western Massachusetts
Lyndsey and Chris are two medical professionals who found each other in the high-pressure chaos of the ER. When they snagged a fixer-upper mid-century modern home in western Massachusetts they decided to make it their wedding venue as well.
While they both will tell you of all of their plans to renovate, I was really excited to show their house in their portraits. I wanted to document how this space looked on this day for them.
We used the kitchen quite a bit, even with the table covered in prepped salads for dinner.
At the ceremony, guests gathered on makeshift benches, soaking in the panoramic view of the Pioneer Valley.
Their ceremony was short and sweet — no bridal party, just the two of them doing their thing.
I am sure that this day felt like a lot for Lyndsey and Chris, but really this wedding was just the right size. They were truly able to be present with each other throughout the day — stealing glances and sharing laughs amidst the hustle and bustle.
My favorite moment of the night? Lyndsey, who revealed not one, but two killer outfits, proving that all brides deserve a wardrobe change - especially when you're ready to slay the dance floor.
As the night wore on and the drinks flowed, the backyard transformed into a sanctuary of love and wild energy, a testament to the couple's resilience and the bonds forged in the chaos of the ER.
