Danielle and Jean’s Forest Park Elopement in Springfield, MA

A bride and groom stand for a portrait after their elopement in Forest Park in Springfield, Massachusetts

Every season, I deliberately set aside time in my schedule to capture a few elopements. The surge of small, private weddings during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown really left a lasting impression on me and I just fell in love with their intimate and personal vibe.

Last summer, Danielle and Jean arranged a beautifully private elopement in Forest Park in Springfield, Massachusetts. With only a handful of family and friends present, they were married under a gazebo by the Rose Garden.

After their quick ceremony, we took a drive around the park, stopping at some of their favorite spots for photos. The sunlight was just perfect, giving us that lovely golden hour glow.

We said our goodbyes, and Danielle and Jean headed off to meet their family and friends for dinner at bNapoli.

As they entered the restaurant, cheers erupted from both their guests and other diners enjoying their meals—a moment they'll always remember.

Thank you to Danielle and Jean for making room on their guest list at this very private event for a photographer like me. It was a fast and furious little event but one that I’ll never forget.
