Rebecca and Alex’s November Engagement Session in Western Massachusetts

Rebecca looks at her fiance Alex as they walk through a meadow at the Quabbin Reservoir in Ware, Massachusetts.

Don’t turn your nose on November.

Sure it’s grey and we lose a ton of light.

I always thought it was the hardest month to get through here in New England, possibly the most extreme end to our long summer days and pleasant fall weather.

Rebecca and Alex chose to take their engagement photos this past November at the Quabbin Reservoir in Belchertown, Massachusetts and they may have changed my mind forever about this month of extreme transitions.

A few things that changed my mind about November.

  1. The leaves had fallen and left behind some perfect earthy tones.

  2. It was just the right amount of cloudy.

  3. It was also totally empty here. No people. Had the whole beautiful place to ourselves while everyone else stayed home and mourned the end of summer.

These two are getting married next summer and I cannot wait to work with them again. They’ve changed my mind about November.

See more of my favorites below. So simple and beautiful.
